What Do Solar Winds Have to Do With Water on the Moon?

Water on the Moon
Scientists believe that hydrogen in traces of water on the moon are from charged particles carried by solar winds. According to an article published today:

"Scientists analyzing grains of soil culled from lunar missions say the hydrogen in trace amounts of water on the moon's surface probably came from solar wind -- a stream of charged particles ejected from the sun's upper atmosphere that appears to have combined with oxygen on the moon's surface to form the OH hydroxyls."
